And leading that charge was Colorados Nick Steffens, 23, who hooked Papa Roach up with what would become the cornerstone of the bands Kick in the Teeth mantra a crippler skateboard slam off a picnic table grind gone awry at the opening of the video that had all the band members going s the one!

d tell Nick and the rest of the Monster Army - no matter how many times youve been kicked when youre down or how rough it gets out there, if you stick to your guns, chase your dreams and trudge the f@#king road, youre going to be alright. And thats what Kick in the Teeth is all about, says Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix.

Reached at his home in Grand Junction, Steffens whos video was submitted by his buddy Brett Buescher - was floored when told he won. Dude, thats sick, said Steffens. Brett told me he submitted it. Pretty crazy. Id kind of forgot about it, then Brett texted me I couldnt believe it. Were gonna have a blast next week.

The winning video shows a then 18-year-old Steffens eating shit off a nollie-to-5/0 grind attempt at a local Grand Junction skateboard park, walloping his head off the concrete to the tune of an emergency room visit. The doctors said I strained my neck muscles. All I know is that was five years ago and my necks still messed up. But whatever, I deal with it, he said.

Him and his buddy Brett will also be dealing with this, courtesy of the good folks at Monster Energy:

(New York, NY) Papa Roach have released their latest album, Time For AnnihilationOn the Record and On the Road (track listing below) via new label Eleven Seven Music today. The bands album is a unique hybrid listening experience, which showcases new material produced by David Bendeth (Paramore, Breaking Benjamin, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus) as well as live renditions of past hits.

With the release of this record, the band continue their long term commitment to WhyHunger, raising funds and awareness for the 49 million Americans and more than 1 billion people worldwide who are hungry. The band included a hidden track on the record, a first in philanthropy, to encourage fans to text to donate as they do live in concert. In addition, the band will be visiting the Los Angeles Mission food bank as volunteers to celebrate their album release and continued partnership with WhyHunger.
